Well........ I can see why these guys have been compared to Pink Floyd(and believe you me they are not the only ones...we
have Porcupine Tree from the new wave of progressive pop/rock/metal and the Pink Floyd of France, Pulsar to name a few) and
why Dark Side Of The Moon has been compared to Ok Computer......(err......is Pablo Honey then their Piper Of The Gates Of
Dawn?Only heard one or two of that one...can't find it in the stores that get haunted by me) but honestly I would never have
compared them to the Floyd if I had not read about it.It is like this with analogies ..you read them in some asshole music
site and the analogy gets stuck in your head...Metallica have been compared to the Beatles(actually nowadays i listen to more
of Kill 'em All than The White Album.) and so on and so on....... Who gives a damn who they are like? The only thing I care
about is what this album is like(for the moment) and I'll tell you what this album is like very briefly and you might as well
go and buy this right now because that's what i end up saying ultimately. It consists of great hooky sad, desperate sounding(most
of the times) intelligent pop melodies with one immortal classic named Paranoid Android, but don't make the mistake of thinking
that that song is the only good one...no sir, this is filled to the brim with great tunes. This is far more easy to get into
then what came from the Radiohead stable after this one got them recognition and fame. The concept as you might have guessed
is that they are lamenting the fact that the lives of humans in the civilizedworld has become mechanical, routine and
the best praise that somebody makes about anyone is that "oh,that guy is a machine"...and so on and so forth. And as far
as it goes..that is it.

Motion Picture Soundtrack | Oh man....what
an astonishing album...what ever i expected when i first slammed it into my cassette player it sure wasn't this......what
is this?!!!!!!!!!! I've never heard anything like this before..(not saying much) this might not appeal to everyone so ...proceed
with caution is what i say Don't buy this album if- You want an "easy"album that everybody in the family can listen
to You want an album that can fill your time while you're doing something otherwise you are invited to listen to this
buncha odd sounding jazz, electronica put in a still odder sounding pop/rock format, with plenty of horns and trombones and
whatnot.A truly progressive rock album. Oh,btw there is a orchestra on here so if you dislike orchestras you can stay away. If
you want to "rock" buy up AC/DC's catalogue but not this. I think my point must have got across by now. I mean, unless
you have a brain the size of Paris Hilton's. I won't go into describing this for the simple reason that i can't. I mean
what do you call a samples and noises and what not.But it still sounds beautiful and forbidding both at the same time. I,Robot I
this I that what the heck.............
