Sold out the underground singlehandedly and with one album.Kurt got upset and the poor guy killed himself.Sad.

Endless Nameless |
Well, looking at the album minus the hype and hoopla and the teen angst thrown in I decided to give this a B+.Why?Because
Territorial Pissings is noise and Kurt Cobain screaming. So is Endless whatever. And the rest of the B side isn't anything that
sticks in my mind.
But the rest does.Hell yeah I would say.Smells Like Teen Spirit is one song that is ...so good.It dwarfs the rest of the
album. No melody comes close.Well Come As you Are is one song that gives it a run for it's money. And Breed.
One thing that is common to the whole thing is the aggresiveness. All the teen angst. They are as aggressive as hell and
pissed off.You have probably listened to this record so I'll stop it here.It is 2'o clock in the night and I want to sleep.
(Some days later)... Er..... an addition to that review,i was not feeling well the time I wrote
the above review and I have decided that this album needs more attention.
This album... well I dunno...most of the songs struck me as very ugly the first time i listened to it and all a mess.I
couldn't understand what he was shouting about and I didn't get used to Kurt sounding so pissed off.All right, Smells like
...hit the right note immediately and so did" Come as you are" ,In Bloom I found tolerable,Breed sounded very dirty and mean(more
then the rest)and more fast tempo then the others.
Lithium and Polly start off on exactly the same chords.Looks like Kurt was practising Lithium and hit the wrong chords
and came up with the acoustic Polly.Territorial Pissings is atrocious and hurts my ears.I listen on headphones maybe that's
why it sounds so bad.Maybe it would sound better if I listened to it on stereo. But it would still sound bad.Now the B side...the
first 3 songs didn't stick with me after well... the first 4 listens i thought "On A Plain" ok and Something In the way always
makes me feel cold.It makes my spine all chilly(maybe i have used the expression the wrong way)and Kurt is soft for the first
time.Shows he could sing OK.So why shout?Anyways.Oh and the hidden track Endless Nameless is ...bad.Kurt gets his breath back
and starts screaming and goes into hysterics.Well there you have it.But I stick with my point that "Smells Like Teen Spirit"makes
the other mean and dirty riffs ok by comparison. It has got to be the best song in the 90's dammit.
