Moody Blues perfectly describes them. They are moody, sentimental and well ,formulaic. Each album taken by itself is great but listen to too much Moody Blues and you will tire of them.Fast.Very Fast. The simple solution to that is to buy the albums slowly. You know, one of 'em in Jan,the next in March, the one after that in April.......
Another solution is to keep listening to heavy metal interspersed with Moody Blues.I would recommend............... but that is another story.
They used to do covers like most of the other bands in the 60's ,I am not going to bother with those albums for quite a while.Their most different  album(different from the rest that is) is Days Of Future Passed.

It is actually useless to write much about the Moody Blues starting with this album .From here on in they embarked upon a journey which essentially remained same with a few variations right upto Seventh Sojourn(after that i have not heard any of their albums nor do i plan to.)It is a pleasant sounding album. You can buy it if you want to.If you want to know what i think of the songs ,read on(though you are making a mistake if I may say so)

Notes taken while hearing this album-

House Of 4 Doors is good but why the heck do they keep repeating and stopping it with that irritating sound?Stop, repeat verse.Stop.Chorus.Stop.Damn irritating.
This song drags.
What are they in the search of?why the heck don't they get on with it?
Oops, I should have known, they are in the search of some lost chord.
anyways ,thankfully the song ends and the delightful standout Timothy Leary starts.Great song.Cute.And no stopping and starting in between.
Ditto for Voices In the Sky.Very melodious.
They start preaching about sounds and shit and crap like that. And then they start singing OOOOmmmm OOmmmmmmOOOOOOOOOOOOo.
Well ,then next please.

Yeah, yeah.Another one from the factory. You can buy this if you are a big fan or are short of anything else to buy.

Notes made while listening to this album so that i could sound like i have actually heard the album because i never remember any part  of it-

gypsy has got some spunk.higher is a good opener.
eternity Road has got a good opening and a cool part at the end in which they build the rhythm higher, higher and then it fades into Candle Of Life (whose tune has been copied many times in Hindi film songs,if you want to know, not all of it,but parts of it.).
Then comes the beautiful Sun Is Still Shining.Dig that fadeout part in the end.Heavily eastern influenced.I never thought I’d live to be a million is boring.Opener is cool so is the last one but both of them are same(the lead is more cool in Watching)
