Man in the Middle |
All right I did a search and what I summed up is that 2001's Their Greatest Hits: The Record is far superior because it
has got even more hits.So go and buy that instead of this one.
All right You must understand that the BEE GEES songwriting abilities were far superior to their contemporary pop artistes. And
I won't even talk about today's pop "artistes".All the songs are good.ALL.Now that we have got that clear we can proceed. So
what shall I say.I've told they are good so I can't say that again. And though I know how to digress and start talking about
something else I don't know how to bring Black Sabbath into the talk.I am listening to them right now.(Ha!I am reviewing Bee
gees And listening to Black Sabbath! How dumb is that!)The record starts with Massachussets (God! I don't know how to spell
that!Couldn't they have named the song something simpler?)and the song is beautiful and dripping with emotion. The next song
is World and that song is beautiful dripping with emotion. The next....
See folks that's the way it is.Every song is good. The disco hits are on the B side. They are the best disco songs I've ever
heard. And that folks should end my essay on Them.
Wooo.I'm on a rewriting spree! That above rant i would say rather then a review is history.Read the new one now.
About listening Bee Gees after 1 month I've started to get the feeling that some of their songs start to bore me.The
falsetto again and again..... or maybe it is the greatest hits package that is hurting me.Or maybe it is because of my fanatic
friend.(Sorry, but when some person says that Bee Gees were far more original and experimented more then Pink Floyd and The
Beatles and Ac/Dc were wimpy compared to Bee Gees I do get the feeling that he is an absolute fanatic. And about that Kid Rock
,The man is absolutely talentless,my friend.I heard his album Cocky or something I don't remember .My review?here you go-All
the songs absolutely stink with zero creativity and innovation or thought process.Evidently these concepts are alien
to him.Whatever.D- is what it gets and that is to please you.Probably should get E- .To hell with him.(I'm paying him a compliment,
go read my R.E.M page.))Yeah Bee Gees wasn't it?I wish I could hit upon as successful a formula as they did and make millions. As is
the motto nowadays with the mainstream my first song title would "To hell with creativity"and it would start
with a riff that has been used a jillion times before ,insert a rap with plenty of swear words inside them to appease the
intellects of the teen of my age ,disguise the song with lot of noise to make it appear new, insert a lot of names of
famous co-writers,insert some girl's photo in a bikini on the cover and hey presto!A new work of hhmmmmmm.........................................................
ART!
Yeah well that was a rant.Nevermind folks stay happy and listen to Bee Gees if you feel sad.On the other hand I would recommend A Hard Days Night 30 minutes
of which would probably be more effective then 3 of the Bee Gees Lp's.Save you a lot of money.
Al right, all right I'm not degrading this stuff,it's a mixture of being pissed off and also that my rant above is genuine, and
also the fact that a majority of the soft ..good songs bore the shit out of me.And also the fact that these guys are responsible
for the disco fad and therefore have played a small part in the bringing of music to this stage not only in the western music
scene but in my part of the world also.Mind you it is a very smaaaaaaaaaalllll part but anyways..It is a greatest hits package
so i would recommend that you buy it(Assuming you haven't heard of the Bee Gees)But don't go buying their other albums(that
is if you are not some rich bastard)by just listening to this I have come to the conclusion(and seeing the track listing
of other compilations)that they probably never changed during their whole career and kept sounding the same.
and if you think otherwise just mail me.All right with something more sensible than "You suck!Bee Gees rulz u hate muzik
u loser!"
