Coverdale would persist in singing songs like"Lay Down Stay Down' and god knows what not.Blackmore got fired up and exited from Deep Purple to form Rainbow and good thing he did or we wouldn't have got this.

You know  the ballads on this album "Catch The Rainbow " ,"Temple Of the King" are absolutely great. They are my favourites on this album though it does have a couple of great hard rockers the opener being a prime example. But these are not your everyday power ballads (a style perfected by Def Leppard and all the other losers.Taken to its logical conclusion.Absolutely.)but perfect songs.Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect,my dear sir.I cannot praise them enough.

The bad song is there though."If You don't Like Rock 'N' Roll" is boring and unnecessary.Sounds as if Coverdale dropped in on them."Black Sheep "I haven't found very impressive but the rest is good. There are a lot of things going on everywhere.Solos... well with Blackmore ,what do you expect?Dio has got a fine voice(I would like to hear him do "Child In Time" though.) .The perfect metal singer.AAAAAAAAAHhhhh and the rest of it.Drummer is interesting specially on the instrumental last track.i don't know what his name is though.Could be Powell for all you know.I am not gonna research and tell you for godsakes.I have got this on MP3 ,damn you.I don't find Rainbow albums lying about in the record store. What I do find is a  goddamn BOn JoVI record though.Fuck 'em.(And a Limpbizkit record.AND a GGODDAMN FUCKIN' LINKIN PARK RECORD.AND A GODDAMN FUCKIN' ASS SUCKIn' EMINEM RECORD.AND A  GODDAMN FUCKIN' ASS SUCKIn'  ASSHOLE BRitney Record.And........................................................................................................)

Anyways,a nice groovy metal record.Solid record.Solid songs.Tight .Taut too,if i might say so.
